Da'an Center was officially approved to build the National Fuel Cell Vehicle Quality Supervision and Inspection Center
The National Market Supervision and Administration Bureau officially wrote to the Hubei Provincial People's Government on January 29, 2021, agreeing to set up the "National Fuel Cell Vehicle Quality Supervision and Inspection Center" based on the Xianyang Da'an Automotive Testing Center. Once the center is established, the Da'an Center will have the qualifications of three national-level centers: the National Automotive Quality Supervision and Inspection Center (Xianyang), the National Intelligent Networked Vehicle Quality Supervision and Inspection Center (Hubei), and the National Fuel Cell Vehicle Quality Supervision and Inspection Center.
The Da'an Center started building its fuel cell vehicle testing and inspection capabilities in 2017 and has developed a comprehensive testing system covering fuel cells, fuel cell systems, three electrical systems, and fuel cell vehicles over the past three years. It has the country's first on-site hydrogen fueling vehicle testing site and the first 24-hour continuous fuel cell performance and durability testing room.
At the National Fuel Cell Vehicle Quality Supervision and Inspection Center Establishment Demonstration Meeting, the head of the review group, academian of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and researcher at the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Yi Baolian, said that the Da'an Center has rich experience in testing and inspection and has laid a solid foundation for the establishment of the National Fuel Cell Vehicle Quality Supervision and Inspection Center. He hopes that the Da'an Center will complete its construction soon and further promote the development of China's fuel cell vehicle industry.
The National Fuel Cell Vehicle Quality Supervision and Inspection Center will create "three platforms and one center" and practice the service principle of "loyal to data and win trust", with the goal of "enhancing product quality". The construction work will create "two bases" - the Wuhan testing base will focus on system, component, and material development testing, while the Xianyang base will focus on regulatory testing as its core. The center will provide comprehensive testing services for whole vehicles, key systems, components, and materials.
